Boatshed are launching a beta version of the Boatshed Archive, essentially a back catalogue of the 24,000+ boats we’ve been involved in selling. This is a great resource for people looking for boats, with each boat containing up to 100 photos, full boat spec and videos. This useful resource is like a boat bible for us all to use.
November 2017 sees the Boatshed technology team travel to Lisbon for 5 days at Web Summit Exhibition. Boatshed have been invited to feature their leading boat sales technology platform alongside the likes of Facebook Uber and Amazon. Chosen out of thousands of companies and after a difficult selection process, Boatshed has been chosen because of its international growth, innovative business model and widespread use of technology to sell boats.

Boatshed is attending Grand Pavois boat show in La Rochelle, France - a 6 day event running from the 27th September to 2nd October 2017. It is the most important event of its type in France and will showcase a huge range of equipment and services ranging from water sports through surfing and water-skiing, to charter, motorboats, and yachts.
Boatshed offices in the Caribbean are currently experiencing very difficult circumstances. Our thoughts are with the families and members of the boatshed team caught up in the very challenging circumstances.

Another thing we are committed to at Boatshed is reducing the costs of boat ownership for our customers. Boat buyers will, typically, spend about 20% of the price of a boat on necessary equipment, products and services within the first 12 months of ownership. This expenditure can be considerable and is often overlooked by other brokers. Our Preferred Partners Scheme is aimed at reducing this expenditure and thereby the overall cost of boat ownership for Boatshed customers.
We want our customers to feel valued, informed and, well…… loved. Instead of us keeping all the useful information about boat sales to ourselves, we have developed some tools to allow our customers to keep themselves informed whilst selling a boat and when looking for a new boat.

We are delighted to announce our new relationship with BWML. BWML is part of the UK’s Canal & River Trust (formally, British Waterways) a national charity whose primary role is the custodian and navigation authority for around 2,000 miles of canals and rivers across England and Wales. Boatshed is now the exclusive external broker in most of BWML’s 20 locations, available to assist our customers with the sale and purchase of Narrowboats and other inland waterway vessels. Our brokers in these locations are experts in these specialist craft and familiar with the unique pleasures of inland boating.
Boatshed is delighted to announce its endorsement of the Maritime Training Academy's Diploma in Yacht Brokerage, the leading distance learning course to train and prepare new brokers for the used boat industry. Boatshed is working with the MTA to offer graduate brokers effective routes into the industry using Boatshed's market leading sales platform.
At the Southampton Boat Show last year, Boatshed, together with the Marine Inspection Association of leading marine surveyors, introduced the use of IPAs when selling used sail and motor boats. An IPA is a further tool to increase the transparency of a used boat offered for sale. Boats we sell can be physically inspected, assessed and reported upon by an experienced, independent, marine surveyor before, or whilst they are listed. Up to 55 critical areas of a second-hand boat are assessed and the IPA report can be viewed by an interested buyer alongside the boat’s details.
